Instead, transform me by your word. (Marcus Maxwell) Al November 9, 2014 at 4:57 pm Whenever wondering whether the Spirit is walking w/me I resort to quoting aloud Psalm 13 & Romans 5: “Will you (God) forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?” Of course, “…we also boast in our sufferings, know that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts thru the HOly Spirit…” and for all these things, I give you all glory and praise. Amen! Gretchen Hammeke November 11, 2014 at 4:20 pm Most days I begin with words from Psalm 51: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me…restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain in me a willing spirit.” When seeking personal direction or making a moral decision, I use The Radical Prayer written by Flora Slosson Wuellner: “Holy Spirit, if this is right for me, let it become more firmly rooted in my life. If this is wrong for me, let it become less important to me, and let it be increasingly removed from my life.” Comments are closed.
