Westminster Preschool has an excellent program for children ages 3-5 years old. This mixed-age group format provides many social and intellectual benefits for the children in Rockford, IL.

Westminster’s Preschool is a four day program, meeting Monday through Thursday from 9:00am – 11:30am.

Our teachers are state certified with BS degrees in Early Childhood Education. Class size is limited to 20 children with 2 lead teachers per classroom. We begin the first Monday after Labor Day and end the Wednesday before Memorial Day.

General Information

Our program strives to provide a positive and enriching learning environment and a variety of experiences that will allow the child to:

  • Develop an interest and joy for learning through a balance of developmentally appropriate teacher and child directed activities.
  • Learn to interact with other children and become comfortable in a group setting by developing social and listening skills.
  • Develop self-expression, self-control and responsibility.
  • Master skills needed for Kindergarten readiness.
  • Nurture basic Christian values and the use of prayer.

Our Day

  • Circle Time: Calendar, stories, songs and discussion of daily activities.
  • Center Time: Art, blocks, books, science, table games and dramatic play.
  • Small Groups: Learning activities
  • Snack Time
  • Group Activities: Music and movement, large motor activities, and outdoor play.

Ages

Children must be 3 years of age and fully potty trained by September 1st during the calendar year of registration.

Fees

  • A $100.00 non-refundable registration/supply fee and one month’s tuition is due at the time of registration.
  • Tuition for four-day program (3 – 5 year old class): $260.00/month.
