Today’s answers require that we think “Godly,” pastall the distractions of what we think we want out of life. Do we HEAR thequestion? Are we AFRAID (to answer)? We know thatMatthew was written to better appeal to Jewish learners and that Luke was written to the Gentiles but what about Mark? Who was his target audience? Was it truly the first Gospel written? Was the ending changed? Join us on this quest to not only learn the answer to these questions but also to deepen our connection to God in the process. We will use New Testament scholar Jason C. Meyer’s study guide Mark: Turn your eyes upon Jesus as our jumping-off point.

Continue to learn about spiritual disciplines that have been practiced by Christians for more than 2,000 years. These practices offer a framework for deepening our personal, interior, faith—our relationship with God. They enable us to intentionally “practice the presence of God” in our daily existence. In Part 3, we'll explore self-examination/confession and briefly revisit the practices we talked about in Parts 1 and 2. Pat Oman leads this class.
