Holly Bannan, Pastoral Associate

Holly joined Westminster Presbyterian Church as Pastoral Associate in May 2026. In this role, she assists with worship leadership, spiritual formation, intergenerational ministry, and digital ministry. She works closely with staff, volunteers, and ministry teams to create meaningful opportunities for worship, learning, service, and connection within the life of the church.

A South Carolina native, Holly brings more than twenty years of ministry experience to Westminster. Her ministry journey began in worship leadership for contemporary services in churches in Atlanta, Georgia, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. She has also served as Children’s Director at First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, Director of Discipleship and Communications at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and Director of Discipleship and Communications at Kingston Presbyterian Church in Conway, South Carolina.

Holly earned her bachelor’s degree from Lander University in 2008 and her Master of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in June 2026. She is currently a candidate in the PC(USA) ordination process, and she looks forward to being ordained later this year and transitioning into the role of Associate Pastor at Westminster.

Holly is married to Robert, and together they have three children: Jacob, Hattie, and Trace, as well as four beloved dogs. Outside of ministry, she enjoys painting, drawing, crocheting, and tackling creative DIY projects around the house. As she likes to say, she’s a Southern girl recently transplanted to the Midwest and enjoying the adventure.

A few fun facts: Christmas is her favorite holiday, and so far her favorite Midwestern dish is a good bratwurst with caramelized onions. What Holly loves most about Westminster is the warmth and hospitality of its people—and the good hugs.
